Living Light Church in Port Moresby has been feeding hundreds of at-risk children through their nutrition program for over ten years. The children live in the illegal squatter settlements in the city, most from broken homes, or orphaned living with relatives. Conditions for them are deplorable with little or no government services, and no financial support. With a national unemployment rate of 90% money is scarce and the cost of living very high, so there are serious law and order problems.

This program is far more than just providing children with a plate of food. The goal is to create a connection for these poor children with Christian people who will love them unconditionally, and lead them to Christ; to assist these children to believe in themselves, to receive an education, to grow up in Christ, and go on to make a contribution to the nation. This is now happening.
