Fifteen years ago, a young man
who attended Times Square
Church felt called of God to
become a missionary in
Medellin, Colombia. He served
at a small local church that did
outreaches to the homeless
living in the streets of Medellin,
one of the drug capitals of the world. This early burden for the homeless led him to establish City of Refuge, a ministry to feed and provide shelter and training to homeless men.
As City of Refuge grew, he was confronted with the needs of displaced families and single women and their children. Seeing the success of City of Refuge, the local government approached the ministry to help with these families.
ChildCry provides the funds for City of Refuge to feed the children of the single mothers and displaced families in its program.
