I had no idea what the Lord had in store

ChildCry has become my passion. Having been involved with missions on some level for the last 14 years as a career, it is this particular project that has captured my heart. Watching the development of these feeding programs has inspired me to press on.

When I was asked to illustrate “Petey Yikes”, the first book dedicated to ChildCry, I had no idea what the Lord had in store. Having left the art world long ago it has been a privilege to use a dormant gift in a way that has a life changing affect to a child. Seeing illustrations become a book that then can provide food to children in Vietnam or Burundi reminds me that God has an amazing way of multiplying things in a way you never dreamed.

To be a part of a team that is adding their part to another; whether it be a book, a song or a feeding program, you realize that it’s together that the Lord has used you have make a difference in one child’s life—and it is an awesome feeling.
